Last week, we partcipated to EERA Deepwind conference in Trondheim (https://www.deepwind.no), an international event aiming to present the best ongoing research and innovation related to deep sea offshore wind farms, both bottom-fixed and floating.
Our specialist hydrodynamical engineers, Kasper Sandal and Niklas Norman, presented Semar’s concept Honeymooring 2.0 and highlighted the following advancements.
-
Honeymooring 2.0 with shorter vertical tethers giving pretension in the system
-
A proposal to arrange a wind park into clusters with the option to sail and trawl in between the clusters.
A Honeymooring reference model will be made available for the external scientific / academic community. This will allow external researchers and developers to compare our Honeymooring concept to other technologies.
If you want to know more about Honeymooring 2.0 or are interested in a study to assess Honeymooring for the specific site and structures you are dealing with, please write to Kasper (kasper.sandal@semar.no).
